ESCAN fosters Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that are tasked to bring together our members working in areas of common interest. Our SIGs can be made up of researchers, scholars, or other professionals with relevant expertise brought together by the interest in a common topic, offering knowledge exchange, various activities and collaboration opportunities. The SIGs have their own governance structure, mission and activities, ultimately serving as a forum for more specialised discussion and exchanging ideas under the overall scope of ESCAN. You need to be a member of ESCAN to form part of a ESCAN SIG. You can find out more about each of the SIGs below.
This SIG gathers scientists dedicated to promoting the field of social and affective neuroscience in Europe and beyond, and offers a platform to share and critically discuss scientific ideas and methods, to combine knowledge and experience, to improve the quality of research and models, and to establish lasting collaborations in a cooperative environment. This SIG was formerly known as ESSAN (European Society of Social and Affective Neuroscience) and merged with ESCAN in 2024.
